IF YOU ARE A TRANSPLANT, PLEASE READ hi. 3 years ago i moved from the conservative southeast to the liberal northeast - more specifiy from north carolina to oregon. after 3 years, i've been ignored everywhere i've been and haven't made a single friend. this is the most unfriendly place in the world. i realize being from over-friendly north carolina contributes to this shock factor, but before i run back home i wanted to try somewhere else that i've 'heard' was full of hippies. my whole life i thought oregon was hippies, but there isn't a single one left here... Intel and Nike moved into the area and the hippies all ran down to northern cali... i guess i just want to hear from anyone who moved from another state to Boulder, and find out if you've made any friends or not. Any input from east coasters, west coasters, mid westerners would be much appreciated... i know a lot of people stick close to the nest their whole life... but if by chance you know how Boulder CO, Portland OR, and Asheville NC are, hit me up PLEASE!!!
